Thanks for this review of these historical events. I just don't want anyone to everyone forgot about Mr. Heakin.
I was not out at the time of his murder, nor was I present at the Stonewall, but I was absolutely shaken, not only by his death, but the death of justice itself. For years I would speak to friends about this young man; I am grateful that someone knowledgeable about about what to do finally took some action.
